Ruth is a community researcher with the Sauti Mashinani Lab and Anga Center, where she supports mental health interventions aimed at reducing intimate partner violence among women in informal settlements. Through this role, she has received extensive training in ethical practices and trauma-informed care, applying this knowledge in weekly sessions to improve the well-being of participants. Her work has included investigating the connections between climate stressors, mental health, and violence, contributing to research that informs local and global understanding of climate and gender dynamics.

Ruth’s additional experience includes roles in data annotation with Impact Outsourcing Limited, information and communication technology (ICT) training facilitation at Tunapanda Institute, and community health work. She holds multiple certificates in ICT, computer basics, and climate research from institutions like Tunapanda Institute.
