Melvine is a motivated and dedicated peace advocate with a strong passion for community-based research and development. Melvine is a community researcher with the Sauti Mashinani Lab and Anga Center, where she is involved in programs that study women’s resilience and the links between climate change, inequality, and violence in Nairobi’s informal settlements.

In addition to her work as a researcher, Melvine is deeply involved in community health and peacebuilding efforts. As a community health volunteer, she has supported local health initiatives and contributed to peace promotion efforts in her community in Kibera.

Melvine holds a diverse set of skills, including monitoring and evaluation, qualitative research, and adaptive learning. Her academic background includes training in human subjects protection and research methodologies.

Melvine is bilingual, fluent in both Swahili and English, and is committed to contributing to her community’s growth and resilience. Driven by her desire to create a more peaceful and just society, she continuously seeks opportunities to grow her skills and make a lasting impact on the communities she serves.
