Anne Lilian has experience in qualitative and quantitative research and has a CITI Conflict of Interest certification. She has undergone intensive training in areas such as vicarious trauma, HIPAA compliance, and community support for mental health crises, positioning her as a vital contributor in community-based research initiatives. Anne Lilian is passionate about social equity, women’s empowerment, and holistic community well-being.
With a strong background in informal settlements areas across Nairobi, Anne Lillian brings hands-on experience from facilitating mental health interventions aimed at reducing intimate partner violence with the Sauti Mashinani Community Lab and Anga Center, as well as from her previous roles with World Vision. Her responsibilities have ranged from conducting qualitative and quantitative surveys and community mobilization to counseling.
She is also experienced in mentoring women domestic workers on social security access. Fluent in both Swahili and English, Anne Lillian is committed to advancing community resilience, mental health, and gender-based violence prevention in underserved populations.
